1968 IH International Travelette

Description

1968 Travelette. Definitely started life out in the dry western part of the country (previous owner states Utah). Spent some time in New York, then to Maryland, now in Pennsylvania. Body is way cleaner than most. Some typical cowl rust and floor rust, but nothing like you would typically see on this era truck. This truck also started out as a two wheel drive truck. Currently the front axle is a Dodge 8 lug with disc brakes. The front axle is as far as the 4×4 swap gets currently, there is no transfer case or front driveshaft installed in the truck leaving you with whatever option to finish. Be it a total drivetrain swap, or finish the stock 4×4 conversion, this truck has a great look. This truck is a 304 V8 with factory automatic transmission, power steering and power brakes. The truck runs, drives, steers and stops excellent with this drivetrain package, MUCH differently than a manually optioned truck! It appears to have one exterior paint re-spray in its life, which retained the factory color and overall gives an appearance that many would guess is original paint. Interior was Custom trim level, but needs some love. Mechanically, the truck was gone through in 2023 and has been driven moderately since, but as with any old truck, they need constant maintenance and upgrades. The truck needs nothing to be driven today, but don’t call us asking if it will reliably make a cross country journey! The period correct Avion camper shown is not included for the purchase price, but can be purchased with the truck for additional cost. The camper is structurally mostly sound condition and relatively dent free (very hard to find) but needs a complete interior.
