Lower Steering Shaft / Flex Coupler Assembly – Scout II

Description

Lower steering shaft flex coupler assembly for Scout II’s. Please select 3/4″ or 13/16″ splined shaft size.

If you don’t know what size you have, here is how to tell: Take an 11/16″ 12 point box end wrench, if it fits over the end of your Steering Gear Input Shaft – You have a 3/4″ splined shaft. If the wrench does not fit over your steering gear input shaft – You have a 13/16″ splined shaft. The steering box, or your current rag joint must be removed to perform this test.

Scout II’s from 1971-mid 1977 had 13/16″ size shafts. From Mid 1977-1980 they had 3/4″ shafts. If your steering box was replaced at some point, it is possible that the spine size may not be the same.
